In the early 1960's, Katin founders Nancy and Walter Katin held a competition to challenge Surfside locals to design the first Katin mascot. After receiving an overwhelming amount of entries, one stood out from the pack. With sweeping blonde hair, a single fin surfboard and his very own Katin Trunks, The K-Man was born.
