Standing in front of the shop are some local legends, including pro surfers Mike Purpus, Steve Seebold, Bob Ballou and more, as well as @RustySurfboards founder Rusty Preisendorfer, all rocking their favorite Katin threads. Circa 1973.
Ads and editorial spreads like this covered nearly every newspaper or magazine in the 60s, 70s and 80s, and always featured some of the world's greatest surfers sporting their Katin trunks.
