In honor of #InternationalWomensDay we want to give a special shout out to our very talented and the very first female Katin Explorer, Kathryn Dyer (@kathryn_dyer), and all she has conquered, accomplished and explored.

Kathryn Dyer, currently residing in Sacramento, is a Californian, cancer fighter and life lover. She is a nature enthusiast who shares her passion through her photographs. Dyer is always on the hunt for an inspiring place or a new perspective to capture through the lens of a camera. Her philosophy is that we should enjoy every sunset and look forward to the next sunrise.
She is a lifelong Californian who grew up on the beaches of Southern California. Kathryn spent summers camping and exploring as a child, instilling a deeply rooted passion for the outdoors. She began to document her love of the outdoors two years ago through her Instagram @kathryn_dyer. Unfortunately, life sometimes has its own plan. Shortly after opening her Instagram, Kathryn was diagnosed with cancer. Her desire to be amongst the beauty of nature helped her to get back up and get out there again during treatment.
Now finished with treatment, she feels cancer is a reminder to enjoy every moment and love life! Something she can be found doing most days, exploring California with her husband, looking for beautiful moments to capture.
